The Practice of Mindful Eating will serve to emphasize behavioral strategies that facilitate awareness, self-regulation, and healthier eating-related practices. The participants will learn about the concepts of mindful eating, such as learning to identify eating cues, enhance for self-regulation, and food choice. The session will be built on and highlight evidence-based strategies to help enhance self-regulation, learning portion control, and strategies for sustainable weight management. The session will be interactive, facilitated by subject matter experts in nutrition, psychology, and behavioral therapy - who will highlight interventions and implementation of mindful eating practices into sustainable dietary practices and their considerations for obesity prevention and metabolic health. This session aims to provide pragmatic tools for clinicians, dietitians, health professionals, and all individuals looking to help others develop an improved relationship with food.
