Meal Timing and Chrononutrition

The Meal Timing and Chrononutrition session will present on the impact of food timing on metabolism, energy balance, and weight control. Attendees will learn about modulation of appetite, insulin sensitivity, nutrient utilization, and other metabolic processes by circadian rhythms and time patterns (e.g., intermittent fasting, time-restricted feeding, late-night eating) on obesity and metabolic health. Attendees will learn evidence-based approaches for practicing meal timing approaches (with the potential for weight control, glycemic regulation, metabolic health). Leading experts from nutrition, chronobiology, and metabolic medicine will offer practical opportunities for attendees to use chrononutrition principles to guide evidence-based dietary practice changes for greater health impact among patients and clients.
